MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

How to be a successful member of Phi Eta Sigma

Induction Requirements

  • A cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 during your first year at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, placing you in the top 20% of your class in academic performance.

  • Completion of active membership requirements during all semesters while in Phi Eta Sigma.

Active Member Requirements

  1. Attend 3-4 meetings each semester.

  2. Complete 4 volunteer activities each semester.

  3. Of the 4 volunteer activities, at least 2 must be completed as group activities.

  4. Complete 1 wellness activity each semester.

Scholarship Requirements

  1. Complete 1 extra individual or group volunteer activity

  2. Complete 1 extra wellness activity​

Individual Volunteer Ideas

1. Donate Blood
2. Donate Money
3. Food Donation
4. Clothing Donation
5. Make handmade cards for local nursing home (5 minimum)
6. Take notes for class
7. Clean up garbage around campus or highway​

Wellness Activity Ideas

1. Go on a walk
2. Work out at Williams Center
3. Attend a UWW sporting event
4. Journal for 30 minutes
5. Visit the relaxation room at Ambrose Center
6. Attend a fitness class
7. Anything else that brings you joy and relaxation​
